District 21 Summer Games 2018 Results 

The Halton Pickle Ball Tournament was held on Thursday May 17, at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre.
40 players participated.  Many thanks to to all the volunteers and spectators. Congratulations to all the winners. The 12 gold winners are eligible to play in the Ontario 55+ Games in Mississauga.  We were all pleasantly surprised when out oldest competitors, Tina Barnes and Horst Khoeler (82 & 83), won out of 10 teams in the 65+ mixed!!! Darts Tournament Results - at the Hillsview Active Living Centre in Acton on April 17th.

Ladies Doubles:
Gold Medal: Patricia Rae and Nellie Bell (Georgetown)
Silver Medal: Margaret Bromby and Cathy Forbes (Acton).

Mixed Doubles:
Gold Medal: Marie Chalmers and John Harvey (Georgetown)
Silver Medal: Betty and Bruce Dalley (Georgetown)
Bronze Medal: Evelyn and William Coleman (Georgetown).

A 5-Pin Bowling playdown was held on April 20th in Burlington.
A ladies team faced off with a men's team. And the winners were:

Gold: Ian Taggart, George Fry, Hugh Devine, Murray Celeste and Jorgen Rokholm
Silver: Myra Faichne, Lyn Ward, Betty Tonelli, Carol Vickery and Sandy MacNeil.

The gold winning team is eligible to play in the provincials in August.
Three of the ladies are eligible to play Singles in August as well.

Bid Euchre Euchre Tournament Results,  Grace Anglican Church, April 25th

Gold: Sheila Shanks and Gloria Barker, with 20 points in 6 games
Silver: Betty Tonelli and Carol Vickery, with 18 points
Bronze: Rick Wilcox and Bat MacDonald, with 16 points.

The gold winners are eligible to play in the provincials in August.

The first of our Qualifying Games, Euchre and Cribbage, were held on April 11th at Grace Anglican Church. We had 28 for Euchre and 18 for Cribbage. The winners Qualified to play in the OSGA Provincials in August which will be held in Mississauga this year. The winners were:

Gold - Betty Tonelli and Carol Vickery
Silver - Paul and Ellen Crawford
Bronze - Rod McGrath and John Wood

Gold - Paul and Ellen Crawford
Silver - Gloria Barker and Sheila Shanks
Bronze - Peter Hitchcock and Ted Lambert

Those who played in both Tournaments enjoyed a hot lunch of lasagna, salad and cake.
